KUROCHKINA KARINE GEGAMOVNA

Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Chief Researcher of All-Russian Scientific Research Institute for Fundamental and Applied Parasitology of Animals and Plant – a branch of the Federal State Budget Scientific Institution “Federal Scientific Centre VIEV”.

Date and place of birth: September 23, 1949  (Moscow).

Background: veterinary physician. In 1972 graduated from Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology.

Research fields: immunity in helminthiasis, specific immunoprophylaxis, effects of antiparasitic drugs on immunobiological response of animals.

Employment details: junior research associate (1974-1986), PhD thesis defense (1986), senior research associate (1987-2000), doctoral thesis defense (1999), laboratory head (2001), chief researcher.

Extracurricular scientific activities: member of Scientific and Dissertation Councils of the Institute. Scientific secretary of the All-Russian Society of Helminthologists. Compiler and executive editor of conference proceedings «Theory and practice of the struggle against parasitic diseases».  Under her supervision 2 PhD theses were prepared and defended.

Basic publications: 90 scientific papers, 2 patents, 5 certificates of authorship, 8 methodical recommendations, 16 conference proceedings.

Awards: was awarded a commemorative medal «850th Anniversary of Moscow».
